Planking Habits

For Language Arts class, every day, starting at 30 seconds and ending at two minutes and 15 seconds, we had to plank and then mark it off as a habit on a tracking sheet. This was called a daily habit. Daily habits are things you do every day and slowly do more of every week. Over time, by doing a little bit every day, you will end up doing a lot more. This is called compound effect. Compound effect is when you do a little bit of something a lot to get it done faster.

At first, I had trouble remembering to plank, but over time, I memorized planking every day. Over time, even though the amount of time planking every day increased, the difficulty remained the same. Eventually, at the end, planking for a few minutes was easy. My new habit is going to be doing jumping jacks daily. Every week this will increase by 10 and begin at 30. This is because doing jumping jacks can reduce the chances of getting heart disease later in life.
